Excellent assortment of plants for our pollinators and other native plants!

Guaranteed native plants with no pesticides. It's a great community sponsored garden plants with employment. Senior staff can also educate about plants. Limited hours, usually Tuesday Thursday Saturday mornings.

Urbanscapes is a wonderful community resource that not only sells many varieties of pollinator-friendly plants but offers free workshops and educational programs on urban gardening and the role of pollinators in healthy ecosystems. The nursery employs local youth and teaches them skills in business, entrepreneurship and horticulture. All the revenue from the sale of plants is re-invested in the nursery's educational and youth leadership development programs. An incredible asset for the Newhallville neighborhood and the entire city.

One of two places in Connecticut that sells only native perennials and shrubs. Good quality & selection, have bought here five times over three years, never disappointed. Sales benefit Menunkatuck Audubon, a chapter of National Audubon Society. I am a Master Gardener with over fifty years gardening experience.
